LaGrange College inducts Floyd Mack to Hall of Fame Floyd Mack Sr. was recently inducted into the LaGrange College Sports Hall of Fame during its inaugural ceremony. The Hall of Fame was created by the college to honor athletes, coaches, staff members and other individuals who have made a major contribution to the LaGrange College athletic program. One of seven inductees, Mack graduated from LaGrange College in 1975 with a bachelor of science degree. He holds school basketball records for rebounds in a game (31 against Georgia College in 1974), season (432 in 1975), and career (1,584). He also scored a record 309 field goals in 1975. Mack is the athletic director, head basketball coach and interim head football coach at Benjamin E. Mays High School in Atlanta. He also has received the Boys Prep Coach of the Year award and the Atlanta Tipoff Club Coach of the Month Award. An active member in the community, Mack mentors male teenagers and takes part in the Feed the Hungry activities. Mack and his wife, Debora, are members of Ben Hill United Methodist Church.
