Hatcher demonstrates his ecumenical love for all people

John Hatcher is my friend but that is more important to me than the words I can write about him.

His article ["Catholics and Baptists: Many differences but a common Savior," The Citizen, March 27] regarding the Silver Jubilee of my ordination described the events very well; but more importantly, it showed the ecumenical love he has for all people.

He is never "politically correct" but writes of the issues in pure black and white. I for one appreciate his candid insights and value his understanding of discipleship.

Most of all I value his friendship and love the kind of love that is forgiving and understanding. God bless him!
