Wednesday, March 13, 2002 New Web site unveiled for SummerGrove Announcements have been a way of life lately for Pathway Communities. In January, the company announced that SummerGrove was the third best selling community in the metro Atlanta area, and just recently announced that SummerGrove will be the site of one of South metro Atlanta's largest residential water parks. Now, the company is pleased to announce SummerGrove's new Website at www.summergrove.com. The site allows users to get an overview of the community, search for available homes, calculate monthly payments with a mortgage calculator and keep up with the latest happenings at SummerGrove. According to Peggy Sullivan, Pathway Communities vice president of marketing and public relations, the new Website is a direct effort to keep SummerGrove information fresh and up-to-date. "Last year SummerGrove's Web site had approximately 2 million hits and as consumers continue to use the Internet to streamline the home buying process, we want to be proactive in the design and functionality of the Website." Sullivan points to a survey by the National Association of Realtors (NAR), which found that 37 percent of all home buyers use the Internet to search for a home, an eighteen-fold increase in only four years. "The Internet is creating a more educated and savvy buyer," said Sullivan. "If information is not presented in a format which is both visually appealing and informative, the Internet home buying population will look to other Web-related venues for their information." Pathway Communities is no stranger to successful Internet initiatives. For the past two years, Pathway has won Gold and Silver Awards from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association for its effective Website designs. SummerGrove's top selling features include over five miles of walking trails and pedestrian paths, a 100-acre lake, eight lighted tennis courts, a competition-size swimming pool and an 18-hole public golf course. A new SummerGrove water park featuring a lazy river ride, water sprays and a large water mushroom is planned to open this summer. In addition, the community offers a unique technology program, including structured wiring for every home, the potential for ultra-fast Internet access and Atlanta's first interactive community Intranet. SummerGrove's uniqueness spans more than amenities and technology. SummerGrove has 12 decorated models. Homes at SummerGrove range in style from traditional, to turn-of-the-century, to custom are priced from the $130s to over $700,000. SummerGrove is located at the intersection of Lower Fayetteville Road and Shenandoah Blvd. in Newnan.
