Hanson named Peachtree City's top superintendent

Richard Simms Homes has announced that Mike Hanson, a superintendent with the company, has been named Superintendent of the Year by the city of Peachtree City.

Mayor Steve Brown and Chief Building Official Tom Carty presented the award to Hanson at the City Council meeting Feb. 7.

"Mike is an organized, experienced professional with a keen eye for detail and an easygoing personality," said Richard Simms, owner and president of Richard Simms Homes, after the ceremony. "We are so happy to have him on our team."

The Peachtree City Building Department's Safety Award was also presented to Richard Simms Homes, recognizing the company's exceptional commitment to safety on the job. Janet Prescott, the company's office manager, was also praised by Simms, who said, "She makes a huge contribution to our success every day."

Richard Simms Homes has been building homes in the Fayette County area since 1990 has has been named Builder of the Year by both the City of Peachtree City and the Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia.
