Micro-Fix Inc., a 16 year-old privately held technology firm, has named Matthew L. Keown of Newnan its new general manager.

Keown's background includes sales and sales management for staffing firms, technology integrators and web development companies.He was previously sales manager at Micro-Fix.

Keown is expected to begin immediately refocusing company efforts toward meeting the firm's overall goal of providing quality consulting and technology solutions to small/medium businesses in metro Atlanta.

The Fayette County Development Authority in partnership with the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce and Board of Education has announced that the Youth Leadership Fayette 2002 program has been kicked off.

Nineteen students from four area high schools attended an overnight team-building trip to the Calvin Center in Hampton, Ga. They participated in games, a bonfire, ropes course, and several leadership training sessions.

The students will host a three-on-three basketball tournament in memory of Marvin Moore as their community project . Funds raised will be donated to aid teens in crisis in the Fayette County area. The event will be at Fayette County High School Saturday March 23.
