OLM swimmer leads team to third place finish Junior Kirsten Cartoski led the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School swim team at the state swim meet. Cartoski placed 2nd in the 100 Breast with a time of 1:06 and was fourth in the 50 Free with a time of 24.61 seconds. Cartoski's efforts propelled Mercy to a third place finish in the AA level and a Top 20 place overall among schools in the A to AAAA level. Coach Alan Gordon was not surprised by her success. "Kirsten is a gifted swimmer," said Gordon. "She swims year round for Swim Atlanta and I am happy to see her do so well." Cartoski hopes to swim at the collegiate level in two years and fulfill her dream of swimming in the next Summer Olympic games.
