FUMC to offer Lenten luncheons each Wednesday

The Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will once again offer its Lenten luncheons at noon each Wednesday during Lent. Each luncheon features a light meal and a guest speaker. For more information, call the church office, 440-461-4313.

Fayette Presbyterian to offer group grief counseling

Fayette Presbyterian Church will begin a "Journey Through Grief" group Monday, Feb. 25, at 7:15 p.m. in the church parlor. The first meeting will be a get acquainted gathering. Hopewell UMC plans casserole competition

PTC First Baptist hosts financial seminar Feb. 23

Peachtree City First Baptist Church will host Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace seminar live, via satellite, Saturday, Feb. 23, from 1-6 p.m. The seminar is based on Ramsey's bestselling book, "Financial Peace." Woolsey ladies begin Bible study Feb. 24, 26

The Women's Ministry at Woolsey Baptist Church will be begin a new Bible study class on Sunday, Feb. 24, at 4:45 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 9:30 a.m. entitled, "God's Story," by Anne Graham Lotz. Lenten Bible study offered at FUMC

Jane Varner will lead a short, five-week Lenten bible study entitled "A Path Through Suffering," beginning Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. in Room C230 at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. Braelinn Baptist to host career meetings

Braelinn Baptist Church in Peachtree City will host the Feb. 28 meeting of Crossroads Career Network, featuring Lance Lanier, staff selection manager with Chick-Fil-A, Inc. Inman youth to present concert, spaghetti supper

The youth at Inman United Methodist Church will entertain with a concert of praise music, traditional hymns and special solos Sunday evening, Feb. 24. The concert will be followed by a spaghetti supper. A love offering will be accepted. Proceeds will be used to finance the youth Spiritual Life retreats and renovation of Weldon Griffith Hall. Healing, miracle crusade set for Feb. 22 in Jonesboro

Greater St. Peter A.M.E. Church in Jonesboro will host a Healing and Miracle Crusade led by Prophet Frank Nattiel of Release Ministries, based in Fayetteville. Local church offers free tutoring

The Body of Christ Christian Church offers free tutorial services each month for youth ages 6-18. Assistance is available in math, reading, language arts, English and science. The tutoring service is offered through the church's I.M.P.A.C.T. program (Inspiring Master Performance in Academics Through Caring Tutors). Body of Christ Christian offers healing school

The Body of Christ Christian Church offers a free, six-weeks Healing School which began Thursday, Feb. 7, for those who suffer from serious, chronic or terminal illness.
