Wednesday, February 13, 2002 Story earns CIPS designation Marie Story of Century 21 Southern Crescent in Fayetteville has recently been awarded the prestigious Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation. She was formally recognized at the 2001 Realtors Conference & Expo in Chicago last November. The CIPS designation recognizes members with training and experience in working with international clients and property. To earn the designation, Realtors must have an academic understanding of this specialized area of real estate and have successfully completed international real estate transactions. Marie, who is fluent in Spanish, joins an elite group of almost 940 real estate professionals throughout the world, 17 in the state of Georgia, who have earned CIPS status. "This is a highly prestigious award in our history," said Jorge Cantero, CIPS, NAR 2001 Chair of the International Operations Committee. "Marie is now established as an expert in international real estate."
