Wednesday, February 13, 2002 Jones makes Chronicle list Tim Jones Communities, which is based in Jonesboro, has again been included in the Atlanta Business Chronicle's annual "Book of Lists." The current publication appeared Dec. 28. Tim Jones Communities is listed at No. 20 in the publication's 2001 listing of "Atlanta's Top 25 Home Builders," with positions based on number of permits issued to home building companies during the previous year. Tim Jones Communities is a 22-year-old organization which is currently the leading builder in the Clayton/Henry area of Metro South. The company is now building at a pace of over 300 new homes a year. The owner and president is Tim Jones, who has been involved in building since he was 19 years old and was the 1998-99 president of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and is also a past president of the Metro South Home Builders Association. He was the 2000 Builder of the Year for the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and the 2000 Builder Member of the Year for the Home Builders Association of Georgia.
