Wednesday, February 13, 2002 Knight Group gets award The Knight Group, a residential builder headquartered in Jonesboro, has received the prestigious Golden Achievement Award from Quality Builders Warranty Corporation for Excellence in Customer Service. Quality Builders Warranty Corporation is the nation's premier 10-year new home warranty program, and it is insured by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Quality Builders Warranty Corporation Account Executive Cheree Risser presented the Award Jan. 22 to executives of The Knight Group. The Knight Group has been a member of the QBW Program for over five years and has enrolled over 1,250 homes during that time period. The Golden Achievement Award is presented to builders who have less than a two percent complaint ratio, clearly demonstrating commitment to customer satisfaction. Risser said that only builders who demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction and technical excellence in construction practices receive the Golden Achievement Award. She explained that the Quality Builders Warranty Program has established high standards for its builder membership and has enforced rigorous underwriting requirements for builder members. "The Knight Group is proud to receive such an award acknowledging the company's contribution to the building community and dedication to customer satisfaction," said company president Jay Knight. The Knight Group was founded in 1978 and is currently one of the most active home builders in the Metro South area of Atlanta, building in Clayton, Henry, Spalding, South Fulton and DeKalb counties.
