First through fifth graders might want to join WAAM (What Adults Are Missing), or perhaps to worship in a spirited, upbeat and celebrative way and decide to participate in "The Grove."

These and other new programs are on the agenda at North Fayette United Methodist Church.

There are new, smaller Sunday School classes, three new groups for middle schoolers and high schoolers, and a "North Fayette 101" membership class, which you must take to join the church.

There is something for everyone here and with four Sunday morning services and a myriad of things to do throughout the week, this church might just be your cup of tea.

The Rev. Franklin "Zip" Long has been with the church for three years. He was born in Atlanta and reared in Augusta and is a 1984 graduate of the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He is a member of the North Georgia Annual Conference and all the churches he has served have been in Georgia.

He and wife, Mary, are the parents of Laura, 19, and Hannah, 17.

"We want everyone to know that this is God's church and we want it to be your church too," said Long. "This is a fellowship of believers who worship Jesus Christ. Our goal is to teach God's word and share God's love. We invite everyone to join with us in that quest."

He added that the church has upgraded its equipment, which includes laptop computers and three computers with DVD capability.

A 30-hour famine will be conducted Feb. 22-23 and is an international youth movement to fight hunger and save kids' lives. Those wishing to participate or volunteer can call David Cook at 770-461-2758.

The WAAM youngsters meet for a fun-filled time in the activities center after Sunday School.

The Grove is the praise and worship service that begins in the activities center at 9:45 a.m.

Those wishing a more traditional service are invited to the 8:30 a.m. service, at which the Lord's Supper is offered every week, or perhaps the 11 a.m. worship service with choir, preaching and monthly Communion.

The church is at 847 New Hope Road, Fayetteville. Phone 770-461-2409. Its Web address is nfume@mindspring.com.
