Students can have fun on their day off at Friday Funday

There will be no school next Friday due to a Fayette County teacher workday. The Peachtree City Recreation Department will offer a Friday Funday program for the first 60 children between the ages of 5-12 who register. The event will feature a plethora of activities from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. for a fee of $25.

Friday Funday will take place at the kedron Fieldhouse in Peachtree City. Mad Science of Atlanta will present a Science Spectacular, Fayette Coweta Family Theatre will present a production of "Snow White", Magician Ken Scott will perform his amazing acts and teach some tricks of the trade and the Atlanta Thrashers Hockey In The Streets Program will teahc fundamentals of street hockey. There will be a make your own sundae snack break, more games and a storyteller.

Registration is ongoing until all spaces are filled. You may register at the Peachtree City Recreation Deparment off McIntosh Trail, Kedron Fieldhouse or The Gathering Place.

All activities are interactive and supervised by the Peachtree City Recreation Department Coordinators. Out of county residents must pay $30. Phone 770-631-2542 or 770-631-2525 for additonal information.
