Don't mess with tennis center Don't mess with tennis center Having an undergraduate degree in parks and recreation, I know a little about public-run programs. I have never seen in my 30-year professional career better or even close to better programs than what we have at the tennis center and amphitheatre. Their current structure, leadership and programs are a national model. Why would you want to change anything? Why not meet with Virgil Christian and the Development Authority to understand the direction they are moving or to work with them for budget adjustments, etc.? Don't let you petty political egos and personal vendettas interfere with the high quality of life that thousands chose when moving to PTC. I voted for two of you because I truly believe that you wanted to improve the quality of life in PTC, but if the discussions of above are true, I made a terrible mistake. It simply does not make any sense. Please explain your thinking and assure me you do not support changing these two highly successful programs and the good work of the Development Authority. Focus your attention and time on keeping the large super stores out, improving transportation and cooperating with other Fayette legislators and politicians. Bill Touchstone Peachtree City
