Getting engaged can be murder in new play By MICHAEL
BOYLAN Rosalie Donatelli is getting engaged to Alphonso Prizzani and the party is going to be murder. The murder mystery "Rosalie's Reception-Engagement With Death" is written by Genevieve Ramsey and will be performed Friday and Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City at 7:30 p.m. Rosalie's first two husbands died of mysterious causes and her third husband, Dominick, divorced her after he suspected her of slowly poisoning him during an evening of cocktails. Her fiancee, Alphonso, can't wait to marry Rosalie but Alphonso's mother has other plans for her son. The two families join forces to turn the engagement party into a fiasco and it is up to the audience to play roles at the party and find out who the murderer is. Ramsey will play Mama and Chuck Ramm will play her son, Alphonso. Rosalie will be played by Barbara Merlie and the role of Dominick will be played by Skip Lam Friday night and Tom Ramsey Saturday. There will be music, mayhem, mystery and murder at this Italian wedding reception. Tickets for "Rosalie's Reception-Engagement with Death" are $5 and include admission, dessert and intermission snacks. Tickets can be purchased at the church, Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Phone 770-487-7757. |
