Mentoring to be discussed at SPRY meeting Tuesday

Donna Worcester, manager of the Fayette County Schools Mentoring and Literacy Action Program will be the featured speaker for SPRY (Senior Citizens Remaining Young) at the First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City, Tuesday Feb. 5th at 11:30 am.

Bonnie Hancock, Principal of Oak Grove Elementary School, and Jane Smith, liaison between the church and school, also will be in attendance.

"We invite our older citizens to come and learn more about Mentoring and Literacy Action to see if they would be interested in participating in this worthwhile program," a spokesperson said. "This is their opportunity to help the new generation and to be there for them. The program is as rewarding for adults as it is for the children."

Anyone 50 years or older is welcome to attend and invite a friend. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish to share. First Presbyterian is at 206 Willowbend Road in Peachtree City. For more information, call the church office, 770-487-7757.
