Havertys brings new furniture option to town Friday Haverty Furniture Companies Inc. will open its newest showroom Friday at 1302 Ga. Highway 85 north in Fayetteville. This will bring the number of Havertys retail stores in Georgia to 16 and the total in the Atlanta metro area to 12. Prior to the opening of the Fayetteville location, the nearest Havertys showroom was at Southlake. Havertys was founded in 1885 in Atlanta, and currently operates more than 100 furniture showrooms in 14 states. Havertys is regarded as the leading home furnishings retailer in the middle to upper middle positions and features name brand makers including Thomasville, Lane, Broyhill, Sealy and Serta. It is a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbols of HVT and HVT.A. John E. They may also register to win part of $15,000 in furniture that will be given away.
