'The Brementown Musicans' unites music and comedy for children By MICHAEL
BOYLAN
Life in the barnyard is not all it is cracked up to be. At least that's what the four animals in Fayette-Coweta Family Theatre Inc.'s "The Brementown Musicians" think. They would much rather be musicians traveling the world and, when a pirate crew comes to rob the town, the animals get their chance to be musicians and save the day. "The Brementown Musicians" is based upon the classic Grimms fairy tale. It is a 50-minute musical full of audience interaction, colorful and comical characters and an extremely fun and entertaining story that will enchant young audiences and their families. Children attending performances will receive educational and entertaining activity sheets to help make their theatre experience more complete. They will also get a chance to meet and greet the characters after the performance. Souvenirs priced at a dollar or less will be available at the Farmyard Outpost before and after each performance. There are seats remaining for performances at noon Thursday, Jan. 24, and noon and 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25. Tickets will be available at the door for $6. Advance tickets are available at the Fayetteville and Peachtree City libraries. Phone 770-251-7611 or visit the Web site, www.fcft.net. "The Brementown Musicians" proves that you and your friends can make your dreams come true if you stick together. |
