Episcopal Church of the Nativity to host anti-racism training workshop

The Episcopal Church of the Nativity will host the Commission on Racism for the Diocese of Atlanta for an Anti-Racism Training Workshop on Saturday, Jan. 26.

The General Conventions of 1991 and 2000 in the Episcopal Church have mandated that each diocese in the United States provide opportunities for laity and clergy to confront racial injustice and inequality.

"The effects of racism escape no institution, not even the Church," says the Rev. Bob Hudak. "The Gospel compels us to stand against all the vestiges of racism wherever they exist, beginning with our own hearts."

Hudak is Vicar of Nativity, a member of the Commission and host for the training. For more information, call the parish office, 770-460-6390.

The Episcopal Church of the Nativity is part of the 92 parishes in the Diocese of Atlanta and a member of the world-wide Anglican Communion.

The church is at 130 Antioch Road. Visit the parish web site at www.fayettenativity.com, or e-mail the Vicar, Bob Hudak, at bhudak@mindspring.com.
