Hofricher takes over as chamber chairman By CAROLYN
CARY
The gavel has passed from the outgoing chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, Darrell Cutts, to Michael J. Hofrichter, chairman for 2002. The son of a military officer and grandson of Italian immigrants, Hofrichter was born in Ft. Knox, Ky., in 1962, and reared all over the world. A graduate of Bowling Green State University in Ohio with a bachelor of arts degree, he entered the United States Air Force. He received his law degree from the University of Georgia and in 1993 he and fellow UGA graduate, Greg Rogers, founded the firm of Rogers and Hofrichter PC in Fayetteville. He has served as president of the Metro Fayette Kiwanis Club in 1997 and was president of the Fayette County Bar Association in 2001. Married to the former Denise Ryan, they live in Fayetteville. "It has been my pleasure to be a part of the Chamber of Commerce and the community of Fayetteville," he said, "and I especially look forward to the coming year." |
