Southside Baptist relocates here Southside Baptist Church, for years a part of the College Park community, has relocated to Fayette County, and has begun holding services at its new location on Ga. Hwy. 92 South. Southside was organized in 1943. Church members worshiped in the church on Brown Rd. in College Park until the recent airport expansion forced them to begin looking elsewhere. In October of 2000, the airport bought the church property and, a year later, members found and purchased the property in Fayette. We are proud to be members of this community and invite everyone to come out and worship with us, a spokesperson said. " We are a Southern Baptist Church, where Christ is Lord and everybody is somebody." The church is at 1332 Ga. Hwy. 92 South, Fayetteville. Sunday worship services are at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., and Sunday School starts at 10 a.m. The pastor is the Rev. Paul Carder, and pastor emeritus is the Rev. S.R. Jones.
