Providence United Methodist Church located at 592 Bernard Road in Fayetteville is offering its second annual Indoor Soccer League. This recreational program is open to all children ages U6 -U9. There is a 30 minute practice and a 30 minute match each Saturday in January and February 2002. Registration runs through December. Registration is on a first come first served basis and the league fills up quickly, act now. Registration forms can be received via the website at www.pumc.com. Cost is $40 per player. The Fayette County Youth Soccer League will have registration for boys and girls spring outdoor soccer at the Soccer Centre Saturday, Jan. 12 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, Jan. 14-18 from 5-8 p.m. Ages 4-19 are welcome. New players must provide copies of their birth certificates. Fees range from $60 for 4- to 6-year-olds to $90 for 16- to 19-year-olds. Phone 770-460-7811 or visit www.fcysl.org.

The Soccer Centre in Fayetteville will offer indoor speed training Wednesdays in January and February. Ages 7-9 will meet from 5:30-6:30 p.m., ages 10-12 will meet 6:30-7:30 p.m. and ages 13-15 will meet 7:30-8:30 p.m. Fee is $15 per session or $60 for the series. Peachtree City girls softball will have registration for the spring 2002 season Saturdays, Jan. 12, 19 and 26 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Braelinn Kroger. The league is open to girls 5-18. For ages 6 and under, the fee is $70; for all others it's $70. The second girl from one family gets in for $60 and all others in the family register for $50. Phone 770-487-0526.

The Fairburn Baseball Association will have registration at Duncan Park from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Jan. 12, 19 and 26 for ages 3-14. New coaches are welcome and late registrations are accepted after Jan. 26.

The Tyrone Youth Baseball Association will have registration for spring baseball Saturdays, Jan. 12, 19 and 26 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 27 from 1-4 p.m. at Shamrock Park. Baseball is open to players ages 4-14. Softball registration will be from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays, Jan. 26, Feb. 2 and Feb. 9 and Sundays, Jan. 27, Feb. 3 and Feb. 10. The Fayette County Wrestling Club, open to children Grades 1 through 8, practices two nights a week in the old Fayette County High School gym. The fee for the season is $80, which goes towards the wrestling card, a t-shirt and the FCHS wrestling team. The club finished second in the state last year. Registration is now open for the Ten Star All Star Summer Basketball Camp. The camp, which is invitation only, offers an individual camp and a team camp. School and AAU teams can apply for team camps and boys ages 14-19 are eligible. Phone 704-568-6801 for a brochure and more information.

System U Speed is now recruiting people interested in the highly competitive sport of inline speed skating. The team is currently practicing Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 4:30 to 6:30 at the Newnan Skate Palace.
