Cable spokesman wrong

On Friday, Dec. 21, when I turned on my TV all of the channels were off the air and all we received was static. A call to the local Peachtree City office got us to a recording which asked for our phone number. Providng that, we received another recording that said that they were aware of the problem and people in the area working to correct it.

The next day we turned on the TV and this time the situation was the same as Friday for the first ten channels (including all of the national networks). We were able to receive many "cable" channels, but even they would go into periods of heavy snow on the screen. Nothing changed and on Wednesday, Dec. 26, we called again. We knew things were picking up when a recording said there was a 23-minute delay.

When we finally got through a human voice said to us: 'We are aware of the problem and someone is in the area working on it'. Regarding the AT&T spokesman who was quoted in your article as saying all who called had been contacted and their problems resolved, he was wrong on both counts.
