Inman UMC's plans 'Midnight at Noon' party Dec. 31

Members of Inman United Methodist Church will have a New Year's Eve party for children Monday, Dec. 31, at 10:30 a.m. Inman is on Hills Bridge Rd. off Ga. Hwy. 92 in South Fayette County.

Fayetteville Christian plans reception for Lovelace

A reception for Evan Lovelace and his family is planned for Sunday, Jan. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at Fayetteville Christian Church. Lovelace will serve his final Sunday as the church youth minister Dec. 30. Those attending are asked to bring finger foods. Fayetteville Christian is at New Hope and Hickory roads in Fayetteville.

Seniors invited to join 'McFolks' at MRBC

Senior adults in the community are invited to be a part of the 'McFolks' group at McDonough Road Baptist Church. The group participates in out-of-town trips, local get-togethers, and has its own choir at the church. The Senior Singing Adult Choir meets on Wednesday mornings. Kindermusik program coming to FUMC

Parents and their children are invited to participate in a Kindermusik class to be offered at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church beginning in January. The program combines music and movement to start children toward a lifelong appreciation of music. The class is for children ages 18 months to 3 years. First Baptist youth plan Winter Retreat

The youth at Fayetteville First Baptist Church will have a Winter Retreat in Gatlinburg, Tenn, Wednesday through Saturday, Jan. 2-5. The cost is $165 if skiing and $130 if not. Sign up at the church, or call, 770-461-8378.

Stanleys to appear in concert at New Hope Baptist

Joe and Kim Stanley will appear in concert at New Hope Baptist Church Sunday, Dec. 30. Performances are scheduled for the South Campus at 9 a.m. and at the North Campus at 10:40 a.m. No Bible study classes will be held at either location Dec. 30.

First Baptist women schedule new Bible study

The Ladies' Bible Study at Fayetteville First Baptist Church will have a new class beginning Wednesday, Jan. 9, based on Beth Moore's study, "A Woman's Heart: God's Dwelling Place." The class will meet Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. For more information, contact Debbie Ragsdale, 770-487-6271.

New Hope announces library Web site

The library at New Hope Baptist Church has a new Web site at http://library.newhopebc.org where members of the community may search for a book, tape, video, map or chart. The item may then be reserved by contacting the library through e-mail at library@newhopebc.org.

Christian City needs volunteers

Christian City, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing for the needs of children and the aged and infirm, seeks volunteers in a variety of capacities. Volunteers are needed to serve as chaplains, Bible study leaders and church service volunteers; to help with transportation, beauty shop, corner store/ice cream parlor, library, information desk, arts and crafts (craft class leaders, painting classes and others); to lead story telling, nature walks, gardening activities, music and more.
