Providence United Methodist announces new classes, studies

Providence United Methodist Church is starting several new classes in January on varied topics of interest.

Three new adult Sunday School classes are scheduled to begin Sunday, Jan. 6.

Andi Williams will lead a study each Sunday at 10 a.m. entitled "Experiencing God," a 12-week study which includes daily assignments. Advanced sign-up is requested so that workbooks may be ordered. Call Jerri Statham at 770-719-8800 to register.

At 11 a.m. each Sunday, Rod Miller and Jill Lego will lead a class which emphasizes the study of scriptures.

Also at 11 a.m. each Sunday Josh Roland, Chris McCord and George Axford will lead a class based on stories from the Bible as they relate to everyday lives.

On Wednesday evenings, beginning Jan. 9, Stephen Bankston will lead a class based on Leslie Weatherhead's book, "The Will of God." The class will meet each Wednesday, Jan. 9 through Feb. 13 from 6:45 until 7:30 p.m.
