City Council took the following action in Thursday night's regular meeting:

of Hwy. 54 widening includes room for growth
When Ga. Highway
54 west in Peachtree City is widened to four lanes, state transportation
officials expect to have traffic volumes as high as 42,000 cars a day

The effort to build
a children's emergency shelter in Coweta County is picking up steam
this holiday season.
