Landmark players net individual honors

Landmark Christian School's varsity volleyball team captured the AA/A state championship for the first time this year. Along with the state victory, several individual team members earned outstanding honors.

Head Coach Barb Mason was named the "coach-of-the-year" by the Georgia Volleyball Coaches Association (GVCA). The Atlanta Journal Constitution also named Coach Mason as "co-coach-of-the-year" for Fulton County.

Senior Julie Van't Wout was named state "player-of-the-year" by the Georgia Volleyball Coaches Association and also by the AJC as Fulton county's "defensive player-of-the-year". Van't Wout will be joined by fellow senior Janna Murdock as members of the state GVCA Senior All-Star team. Van't Wout and and Murdock, along with sophomore Lauren Mason will participate on the AJC All Fulton County team. LCS Juniors Jamie Bruner and Nikki Hanners received honorable mention for the AJC All Fulton county team.
