Offshoot Productions, now entering its ninth season on Atlanta's southside, will hold auditions for its winter production Sunday afternoon, Dec. 2, at the Peachtree City Library, and Tuesday evening, Dec. 4, at McIntosh High School in Peachtree City.

"Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz," a charming take on the classic story, is a participatory play for children enacted by adults and older teens and offering seven delightful roles: Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Wicked Witch of the West, Glinda (the Good Witch of the North), and the Wizard of Oz.

Professional, non-Equity actors are sought for most roles, while the remaining parts will be filled by teen and adult apprentices, who must first submit an application form. The show runs Feb. 18 through March 3 at McIntosh High School's Black Box Theatre.

All auditions are by appointment only. Professional actors should prepare a short, comic monologue and bring their headshot and resume. Potential apprentice actors do not need a memorized monologue, but will be asked to read from the script. Technical apprentices who do not wish to perform will be interviewed separately.

For an appointment, application form or additional information, phone 770-631-2362 or e-mail to offshootpr@aol.com.
