Rower makes PTC better without weekly complaints Although several good men have run for mayor of Peachtree City, we are now down to a runoff between the final two. Each brings a new perspective and different ideas to the table, but I truly believe Gary Rower would be the best representative of the citizens of this community. Unlike his opponent, Gary Rower does not write a weekly letter to the newspaper complaining about this town. A personal phone call or meeting with City Council members and city staff have proven more beneficial when he has issues to discuss. Instead, he spends his time working with environmental specialists to make our city a better place to live. He works with school personnel to improve educational facilities and volunteers with various school groups. I have watched him mentor students and observed the commitment he has to his family. As a former elected member of the Fayette County School Board for eight years, I know the pressures that are placed on the individuals to "Do the right thing." When I ran for public office, I also cited many concerns, but soon found out that many didn't have easy solutions. In addition, the public official is often aware of additional information and legal issues that affect decisions of which the public is not aware. Please look at commitment, involvement, and dedication to the community when you vote for the next Peachtree City mayor. Remember that words are cheap and that there are always two sides to every story. We live in a wonderful community with people who can read through all the rhetoric and innuendo. Let's prove it at the polls Nov. 27 and vote for Gary Rower. Deborah E. Condon Peachtree City
