The Fayette County Board of Realtors® put together its seventh annual Noel November Celebration of Trees in Tyrone last weekend.

The Barn was decorated in blinking Christmas lights and filled with 75 Christmas trees, wreaths, wall hangings and centerpieces.

They were decorated and donated by various Realtors® as well as mortgage companies and community organizations.

David Edmondson and Michaele Gatheridge served as co-chairs and enlisted the choirs from Fayetteville, Peachtree City and Tyrone elementary schools.

Other choirs included the Sandy Creek High School, the Fayette Youth Chorale and the Children's Choir, Christ's Church at Whitewater. The Barn was filled with holiday music throughout the day.

Refreshments were donated by various restaurants and supermarkets.

Chip Young donated the use of The Barn, Sykes Moving & Storage for delivery of the trees and Bill MacDonald served as the evening auctioneer.

All 75 Christmas items were sold at the evening auction and will probably net a total of nearly $30,000.

The funds will be donated to The Fayette Youth Protection Home, the Fayette County School Mentoring Program, the Fayette Family YMCA, the Fayette Senior Services and the Joseph Sams School.
