McIntosh High School's drama department will present "The Boys Next Door" Thursday-Sunday in the Black Box Theatre.

Written by Tom Griffin, the play has been produced numerous times since it was written, perhaps most memorably as a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie starring Tony Goldwyn and Nathan Lane.

The story focuses on Jack, a mental health caseworker, who oversees four men living in a group home, each with various mental or developmental disabilities. Facing burnout, Jack finds both delight and challenge in his clients' relationships with him and each other.

McIntosh's production stars Jason Beaver as Jack, Joey Sommers as Arnold Wiggins, Mitch Dean as Barry Klemper, Timothy O'Michael Powers as Norman Belansky, and Nate Reddy as Lucien P. Smith, among others.

"The Boys Next Door" is a touching two act comedy about friendship. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and at 3 p.m. Sunday.
