Bless This House' set for this weekend at Fayette Christian

Members of the Fayetteville Christian Church adult choir, band and drama department will present the musical/drama, "Bless this House," Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 17 and 18, at the church. Saturday's performance will be at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday's performance will be at 10:30 a.m.

"Bless this House focuses on families and how the Lord can be involved in their lives," said Kevin Adkins, music minister at Fayetteville Christian. "Through a mix of songs, both new and familiar, and drama, both serious and humorous, it shows the importance of allowing Christ to live and reign in our hearts, as well as in our homes. This is something all ages will enjoy."

Pastor Daniel Overdorf added, "Unlike a Christmas cantata, or similar musical, this program is focused entirely on strengthening our families. It addresses everything from newlyweds and new parents to the 'empty nest' and widows and widowers. As far as I know, it will be unique to our community."

The performances are open to the public. Fayetteville Christian is on the corner of New Hope and Hickory roads in Fayetteville.
