County gives strong showing at region meet

The McIntosh boys cross country team won the region championship last week, building momentum heading into the state meet this weekend. Starr's Mill's boys placed fourth, Fayette County's boys placed fifth and East Coweta finished ninth.

McIntosh ahd four runners in the top 10 and five in the top 20. Starr's Mill had four runners in the top 20. Richardo Ramos finished 11th with a time of 18:01, followed by Jason Buttram, 12, 18:05; Brandley Morris, 13, 18:06 and Daniel Shankle, 15, 18:14. Richard Epton finished 23 with a time of 18:25. Mcintosh's top five runners ran in Wednesday's edition of The Citizen and can be viewed on the web at www.thecitizennews.com.
