Fairburn needs new leadership

It is election time in Fairburn again, and guess what?

The same stale-stagnant naive persons are running again. They do not have a clue to what Fairburn wants or needs.

They come out at election time and kiss babies, tell lies and get elected, then we don't hear from them until the next election.

Where do they buy tires, groceries and bank or go to restaurants and get their medicine?

I can answer that question; not in Fairburn.

Because after they are elected, they hibernate and you never see any of them.

The mayor and her crony, City Manager Tony Cox, got excited about a golf course with 1,800- to 2,000-sq. ft. homes. Wow. What are they going to call it? Ghetto Golf Course or the Projects Golf Course?

The also want rapid transit to carry people from CVS Pharmacy to Quality Foods and also build a bicycle shed.

Now I know why Fairburn and South Fulton County is so far behind the rest of the area.

We need people that will lead and make decisions that will carry us forward. The depression was over many years ago, but the mayor and her administration don't realize that it's over.

Yes, Fairburn, it's time for a change. The stale-stagnant hiding behind the mayor's office telling lies and status quo needs to end now.

Let's elect people who have the best interest of Fairburn and South Fulton to lead us.

I have always heard the buck stops at the top. Well, Mayor, it is time for you to go back to the kitchen.

Durwood Thorpe
