FCT announces 2002 season

Fayette Community Theatre Inc. has announced their 2002 season. The plays they have chosen are very varied. Some are raucous comedies, while others are tender dramas or enchanting family musicals. One thing is for sure, the community will be thoroughly entertained by the productions.

Their season will kick off with "Barefoot in the Park" directed by Michael Boylan. Performances will be Thursdays-Saturdays, Jan. 24 - Feb. 9 at the Black Box theatre at McIntosh High School. Showtimes will be at 8 p.m. Auditions for "Barefoot in the Park" will be Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 6 and 7 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at the Black Box Theatre at McIntosh.

Following "Barefoot in the Park" will be "Nunsense" presented by The Henry County Players. Performances will be at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, March 8-16 at the Black Box theatre at McIntosh High School.

The next Fayette Community Theatre Production will be "The Boys Next Door," directed by Michael McClendon. Performances will be at 8 p.m., Thursdays-Saturdays, March 28-Apr. 11 at the Black Box Theatre at McIntosh. Audition dates for "The Boys Next Door" will be announced soon.

Tickets for above shows will be $10 for adults and $8 for students (Friday & Saturday). All tickets for Thursday night performances will be $8.

Fayette Community Theatre's musical this year will be "The Sound of Music". The show will be staged at Starr's Mill, Thursdays-Sundays, June 20-30, Friday-Sunday, July 5-7 and Thursday-Sunday, July 11-14.

Tickets will be $12 for adults, $10 for children and students on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All tickets will be $10 on Thursdays.
