Fall Festivals Providence UMC will have Fall Festival Oct. 27 Providence United Methodist Church will have a Fall Festival Saturday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the church. Activities will include arts and crafts booths, bake sale, silent auction, yard sale for infant's and children's items, Moonbounce, games and activities for children, and barbecue lunch and dinner for eat-in or takeout. A live auction begins at 7 p.m. Proceeds will benefit church ministries including youth and children's ministries and the new Mothers' Morning Out program. Lisbon Baptist schedules Celebration Festival Lisbon Baptist Church will have its Celebration Festival 2001 Saturday, Oct. 27 from noon until 3 p.m. at the church. Activities featured will be a rock climbing wall and moon walk, games, contemporary and gospel music, hay ride, barbecue and chili cookoff. A DJ from J93.3's Christian radio station will be on hand. Covenant Presbyterian schedules fall festival Oct. 28 Covenant Presbyterian Church will have a Fall Festival and celebration of the Reformation from 6-7:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 28, with a Hawaiian Luau theme. Modest Hawaiian luau costumes are encouraged. Activities include games, a hay ride, potluck dinner, pumpkin patch and the Reformation story. Admission is $1 plus a bag of candy. National Heights plans Halloween carnival Oct. 28 The Children's Committee at National Heights Baptist Church will sponsor a Halloween carnival Sunday, Oct. 28, from 4-6 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Activities include games and prizes, a Moonwalk, face painting, a cakewalk and a haunted house. All activities are free and the community is invited. New Hope Baptist schedules fall festival Oct. 31 New Hope Baptist Church will have a Fall Festival from 5:30-8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 31, for children ages preschool through sixth grade, in Building C at the church's North Campus on New Hope Rd. Preschoolers must be accompanied by an adult. There is no cost except for food. The food court opens at 5 p.m. and will offer hot dogs, nachos, pizza, chicken nuggets, ice cream and drinks with prices ranging from 50 cents to $1. "Happy" costumes are encouraged. McDonough Rd. Baptist plans fall festival Oct. 31 McDonough Road Baptist Church will have a fall festival Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the church. In addition, youth in grades 7-12 are invited to participate in the Great Pumpkin Hunt from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The festival will include food, games, prizes, rides and free candy. Children are encouraged to wear non-scary costumes. The older youth will have a hayride, scavenger hunt and live music, and are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Brady Bunch character.
