Job fair set for November

More than 60 major employers will meet with job seekers at the Fulton County Human Services Department's Office of Workforce Development's Fourth Annual Job Fair, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

The free fair will be held at the Georgia State University Student Center, 44 Courtland Street, at the corner of Gilmer Street in downtown Atlanta.

Representatives from agencies such as Staples, IBM, United Parcel Service, MCI, MARTA, the Georgia Department of Labor, and the Fulton County Personnel Department will accept applications and résumés, and conduct interviews.

Last year's fair attracted more than 700 applicants.

Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Professional business attire is suggested. Campus parking is $5.

The OWD provides comprehensive employment and training services for Fulton County residents of all skill levels. These services include assessment, counseling, job readiness workshops, internships and skills training.
