Golf tourney is a success for Fulton education efforts

The Fulton Education Foundation's 7th Annual "Fore" Kids Golf Classic led the way for a huge score for Fulton County's students and teachers.

Recently at Crooked Creek Golf Club in Alpharetta, the foundation welcomed more than 140 local golfers.

This year's tournament generated a 70 percent increase in funds over last year.

Thanks to additional sponsors J.A. Jones Construction, South Fulton Medical Center, Atlanta Coca- Cola Bottling Company, and The Yaarab Shriners of North Georgia, the tournament raised nearly $50,000.

This investment in education provides the seed money for teacher development, minigrants, and innovative classroom activities.

The Fulton Education Foundation stands strong celebrating 15 years of serving the Fulton County School System.

The foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides leadership, leverages resources, and promotes employee recognition. Led by a dynamic group of corporate volunteers, parents, and community leaders, the board supports efforts that impact student achievement.
