McDonough Road ladies schedule luncheon

The ladies at McDonough Road Baptist Church will have a missions medley luncheon Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. National Heights Prime timers plan trip to Helen

Artists and craftsmen needed for Christian City fest

Artists and craftsmen are needed for Christian City's 23rd Annual Fall Festival scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 20, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The festival, which benefits the Christian City Children's Home, will include a variety of handmade items for sale from local artists and craftsmen. Children's activities will include entertainment, clowns, face painting and a pumpkin patch. Graceland, Christian City's thrift store, also will be open. Booth spaces are available at $50 for a 10-foot by 10-foot space. For information, call 770-703-2636.

Fayetteville UMC youth will sell pumpkins

The youth at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will sell pumpkins during October on the church grounds. All funds raised will go toward youth retreats for the year 2001-2002. Pumpkins will be sold each day from 10:a.m. until dark.

Peachtree City First Presbyterian offers singles ministry

Singles age 35 years and up are invited to attend singles ministry meetings at 11 a.m. each Sunday morning at First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City. Study of Jude begins at First Baptist Oct. 18

As part of their Precept Bible study classes, the First Baptist Church of Fayetteville will offer a class on the book of Jude beginning Thursday, Oct. 18, from 6:45-9 p.m. The class will meet each Thursday. For more information, call Judy Knight, 770-461-8238.

Fayetteville 1st UMC recognized as top donor

The Southern Region of the American Red Cross recently recognized the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church as its top blood donor for churches in the metropolitan Atlanta area. At total of 294 pints of blood were collected from July 2000 through June 2001. Tommy Webb accepted the award on behalf of Senior Pastor Sam Matthews. The next quarterly blood drive is scheduled for Jan. 20, 2002, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the church gymnasium. For more information, call the church at 770-461-4313.
