May we pray?

By DR. KNOX HERNDON
Pastor

After the horrifying attack on America, Sept. 11, 2001, this is an e-mail sent to the Supreme Court.

"NOW that the president has called us to prayer ... NOW that Congress has called us to prayer ... NOW that our governors have called us toprayer ... NOW that the city mayors have called us to prayer ... NOW that the "liberal" media and most other branches of our American society have called us to prayer ... AND NOW that our churches are assembling in special prayer ...

Honorable Justices of the Supreme Court,I have only one question ... Would it be OK to pray in our schools?

I would like to see the size of the person who would keep me from praying anywhere. Wake up America!

The Rev. Dr. Knox Herndon is the pastor of His House Community Church (SBC) and a former Army chaplain. The church is just below Senoia on Ga. Highway 85, a mile past Ga. Highway 16 just below the fire station. Visitors welcome. Church office and prayer line 770-719-2365; e-mail KHERN2365@aol.com.
