It's a jungle out there FCFT presents 'The Jungle Book'
By MICHAEL
BOYLAN
The story of "The Jungle Book" deals with a young boy named Mowgli who lives in the jungle with several of his animal friends. Fayette-Coweta Family Theatre's professional troupe A Company of Friends will make this classic story come to life at Sams Auditorium this Thursday and Friday. Mowgli and his friends Baloo the Bear, Bagheera the Panther and Kaa the Snake must save their beloved father Wolf from the fierce tiger, Shere Kahn. Along the way Mowgli gets into many adventures, such as when he is captured by a group of silly monkeys. Eventually, Mowgli finds his way back to his village and must return home. As with all of the shows in the Little One's Series, "The Jungle Book" is full of music and audience participation. The show is geared towards children 3-10 and also features a Jungle Outpost outside the auditorium that offers Jungle Stamp body art and other souvenirs. Children will receive jungle activity sheets to remind them of their adventure. "The Jungle Book" will be presented Thursday and Friday at 9:15 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Sams Auditorium. Tickets are $6 at the door and $5 in advance. Advance tickets are on sale at the Peachtree City and Fayetteville libraries, by phone at 770-251-7611 or on the internet at www.geocities.com/stagelove35/Family.html. |
