Flag football team needs women

The Peachtree City Recration Department is looking for a few good women, good women flag football players, that is. For the first time ever, an attempt is being made to organize a co-ed flag football league as part of the adult flag football program. One team has already organized and registered to play; however, another three teams are needed for a league before play can start. The exiting team is called the Goldiggers and is headed up by Jennifer Kilfin of Peachtree City.

Kilfin and the Recreation Department would like to encourage all the ladies who would like to take part in this program to talk to their friends, co-workers and neighbors and to help organize a minimum of three more teams, otherwise the Goldiggers won't have anybody to play against.

Being Co-ed, a team only needs to have seven women and eight men or eight men and seven women on each team roster. During games, each team must have four men and four women on the field at all times. This sport is non-contact and will be controlled by three qualified officials at all times.

Anyone desiring more information may contact Jennifer Kilfin by phone at 770-486-1718 or by e-mail at jkilfin@smc3.com or the recreation department at 770-631-2542 or online at www.dbrooks@peachtree-city.org.
