Thanks to all who've helped the Hinkle family in PTC

Many of you have read about the tragic car accident that took the lives of Nancy Hinkle and her twin 3-year-old daughters, Emily and Elizabeth, on June 4, as they returned from a family graduation party in Ohio with Gary Hinkle, Nancy's husband of 26 years.

Gary's hip was shattered in the accident and he has been recuperating with relatives in Ohio. Gary is ahead of schedule in his rehab in Ohio and hopes to return to his home in Peachtree City in mid-September for the first time since the accident.

As we've kept in touch with Gary and told him about the continuing efforts on his behalf, he wanted us to pass on his heartfelt gratitude for all the volunteers who have donated to the Hinkle Memorial Fund and helped maintain his yard and done other odd jobs during his rehab in Ohio. Gary has been deeply touched by the number of people who have stepped forward during this difficult period in his life, and he cannot begin to repay people for their kindness and generosity.

Donations accepted for the memorial fund have been used to pay ongoing bills in addition to medical expenses arising from Gary's surgeries. While no amount of money can replace what Gary has lost, it has certainly helped ease the strain while he waits for the insurance claims to be processed.

We would especially like to thank some local businesses who have donated their time and services: The Bank of Georgia, Cafe Pig, Peachtree City Web.com, Kedron Goodyear, The Atlanta Journal & Constitution, Active Pest Control, The Citizen, Mailboxes Etc, Atlanta Market Finds, Little Ones Day Care, Braelinn Village Animal Hospital, and Diversified Cleaning Systems.

In these days when all we seem to hear and see in the news is the negative view of things, it's refreshing to know that there really are still good people in the world. Thank you once again for all the help and prayers and words of encouragement. They will continue to be a source of strength as Gary comes home.
