Mom's Group starts at First Presbyterian September 17 Lisa Mathews and Wendy Farrell will head up the Mom's Group activities this fall, beginning Monday, Sept. 17, at the First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City. The group will meet at the church from 9:30-11:20 a.m. on the first and third Mondays of each month. Moms of all ages are welcome. Mathews was in last years's group and says, "The speakers, the meaningful Bible study, plus fun and fellowship made for a wonderful morning." Mathews added that having child care available in the same building was a convenient feature. "I just dropped my daughter off and went on to the Mom's Group while she enjoyed play time and snacks. After my time with the ladies, I was able to pick her up, hassle-free. I'm looking forward to being co-leader with Wendy Farrell this year." Farrell explained the agenda: "The first meeting of each month will feature speakers on a variety of topics. The second meeting of the month will be a Bible study using Cynthia Heald's book, 'Becoming a Woman of Prayer.' |
