LDS Church in PTC welcomes new missionaries

Elder Clark Rumsey and Elder Jeffrey Snow are new missionaries serving in Peachtree City and Tyrone for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As missionaries for their church they give up two years of their college age lives to spread the Gospel message.

Elder Rumsey is from Spring, Texas, a suburb of Houston, where he grew up and graduated from high School. He left home to attend a year of school at Utah Valley State College in Orem, Utah where he also worked for a marketing company. He is a music lover and played drums in a band before his mission. He says he loves the people living in Peachtree City and feels good about the work he is doing here.

Elder Snow is from Kaysville, Utah. He worked for Lagoon amusement park during the summers to earn money for his mission. He says he enjoys camping, fishing and being in Georgia. He was transferred in to Peachtree City from Buchanan and has been out eight months.

Missionaries like Rumsey and Snow volunteer their time and pay all their expenses for the two- year mission. At the end of their missionary experience they say they plan to go home, return to school and work. Both say they love the area and are greatly impressed with the kindness and hospitality of the people.

Rumsey and Snow can be seen out and about nearly every day in Peachtree City, riding their bikes or visiting with people. These Elders also donate their time twice a week at Clothes Less Traveled Thrift Shop on Huddleston Road. They can be reached at 770-487-8413.
