Grace Church to dedicate renovated worship center Sunday Members of Grace Evangelical Church will dedicate their newly renovated Worship Center Aug. 26, with special events beginning at 9:30 a.m. Dedication activities will involve communion, a special time of praise and thanksgiving, a fellowship time with refreshments, and an all-church dinner following the morning service. The entire community is invited to participate. Renovations began June 4 under the supervision of Grace church member Jeff Browne, owner of Jefferson Browne Design Group, L.L.C., and included extensive renovations to the church's interior architecture, a new stage area, new sound and lighting systems, painting and installation of wainscoting and dentil crown molding. "We want to glorify God in our facility," said senior pastor Bruce Hebel. "He is a God of excellence; we are committed to serving Him with excellence, and this includes our facility." Associate pastor Mike Stachura adds, "Our goal was to create an atmosphere of intimacy and warmth." Church members funded most of the project and donated labor, business skills and materials in order to finish in a timely and professional manner. Local businesses who contributed were Clark Painting and Powerwashing, Gillam Electric, King Millwork and Thomas Carpets, Inc. Members also donated their time cleaning up each week so that Sunday services could continue uninterrupted. "Grace Evangelical, a nondenominational church, is at 164 Flat Creek Trail, one-fourth mile off Ga. Hwy. 54 and one mile west of Tyrone Rd. For more information, call 770-487-0791. |
