Sprint Car Series brings excitement to Senoia Speedway Kenny Adams from Malabar, Fla., won round one in his battle with the USCS bounty hunters that series President Pete Walton sent hunting for him at Senoia Speedway Saturday night. Adams picked up his fifth USCS feature win in a row at the 3/8-mile paved oval in the 40 lap United Sprint Car Series main event and saved Walton's $1,000 bounty for another day. Adams 10th USCS win of the season came before a large vocal Senoia Speedway crowd that seemingly was pro-Adams. Many of these same fans have seen him win on all four visits he has made to the track over the last two seasons and have become Kenny Adams fans. The big crowd seemed to really appreciate the show that the "Malabar Missle" put on for them that included a new track record of 11.37 seconds. USCS Road to Indy national points leader, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tenn. placed second while Jim Raptis of Marietta, placed third. Gray and Raptis battled for the runner up spot side by side for 37 laps. 2000 USCS Top Rookie, Michael Miller, from Biloxi, Miss., finished fourth, and Ted Williams from Atlanta, was fifth. Randy Helton from Palmetto, Georgia placed sixth. The series next event will be next Saturday night on the quarter mile dirt surface of Jackson Motor Speedway near Jackson, Mississippi. USCS "Road to Indy" national points leader Terry Gray leads the rest of the USCS regulars into that event before the series takes the last weekend of August off to prepare for a busy September schedule. Ticket info for the Jackson Motor Speedway event can be had by calling the track at 601-373-0076.
