The Rev. Earl Dabney, pastor of Hartford United Methodist Church, New Hope United Methodist Church and Merrill Chapel United Methodist Church, announced special programs for August.

Homecoming and revival have been conducted for Hartford and New Hope, with guest ministers Isaiah Waddy and Curtis Green participating.

Sunday, Aug. 26, homecoming will be at Merrill Chapel United Methodist, 430 South Jeff Davis Drive, Fayetteville, with dinner on the grounds after the morning service. At 3 p.m., the Rev. R. L. Jones, Little Vine Baptist Church in Tyrone, will preach the sermon.

Monday, Aug. 27, revival will begin each evening through Sept. 1, with services beginning at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. Milton Reed, Rising Star Baptist Church, will lead the preaching.

Dabney says everyone in the community is invited. He also said that beginning Wednesday, Sept. 5, Bible study will begin again at Merrill Chapel with the study of Acts. Classes are 7 - 8:30 p.m. and are open to anyone interested.

"We may be small," he added, "but we are up to date."
