Whitewater Baptist Church plans 178th homecoming, dinner, singing August 12 Whitewater Baptist Church, the oldest church in Fayette County, will celebrate its 178th homecoming Sunday, Aug. 12, with special events planned through the afternoon. Past pastors and their families, old friends and members of the community are invited to join in the celebration. Sunday school is from 9:45-10:45 a.m., worship is from 11 a.m. until noon, a covered dish dinner is planned following worship, and a special singing service will begin at 1:30 p.m. following the dinner.
