Musical theater classes offered

Musical theater classes will be offered at The Studio in Fayetteville beginning Monday, Aug. 13.

Classes will be available for adults and children, with a focus on the basics of musical performance. Students will also have several opportunities to perform locally, according to organizers.

The classes will be taught by professional instructors Jonsie Pollock and Michael Vaughn.

Pollock is a former principal dancer with Ballet Etudes Repertory Company of Connecticut. She also has danced with American Ballet Theater and Radio City Music Hall. Pollock has also choreographed many shows in the U.S. and Canada.

Vaughn has appeared in several Atlanta Ballet Company productions, including "The Nutcracker," "Alice in Wonderland" and "Romeo and Juliet." He is a director, writer, producer and actor.

Both have also been active recently in Fayette Community Theater Inc.
