Flames prepare for the Georgia Games

Members of the Fayette Flames youth track team will be running in the Georgia Games July 20 and 21 at Life University in Marietta. The youth athletes qualified at the 2001 Georgia Games Fourth District Sports Festival in June at McIntosh High School. Medals were presented to the top three finishers. SubBantam Jazmine Austin - first place in the 400m, 1:28.8; first place in the 800m, 3:26.08; third place in the running long jump, 6'11". Haley Smith - second place in 400m, 1:36.2; second place in the running long jump, 7'7". Michael Saporsky - third place 400m, 1:39. Bantam Nicholas Bowman - first place 4x100m relay, 1:03; third place in the running long jump, 9'8.5". David Mathis - first place 4x100m relay, 1:03; second place 200m, 31:15. Najee Pace - first place 4x100m relay, 1:03; first place in the running long jump, 10'6.5". Gerald Austin - first place 4x100m relay, 1:03. David Winston - third place in the running long jump, 8'.75". Nils Schatte - third place 400m, 1:38 Lorissa Rucke - first place 100m, 17.8; second place 200m, 34.18; second place in the running long jump, 9'5". Midget Vincent Brown - first place in the high jump, 4'4"; first place in the 4x100m relay, 59.37; second place 400m, 1:11. Jamahl Calloway - first place in the 4x100m relay, 59.37; first place in the 100m, 14.35; third place 400m, 1:14. Justin Davis - first place in the 4x100m relay, 59.37; first place 200m, 30.50; second place 100m, 14.37. James Mathis - first place in the 4x100m relay, 59.37; first place in the running long jump, 14'3.5"; first place 400m, 1:07. Mark Saporsky - first place 1,500m, 6:32; third place 800m, 3:04. Rebecca Stokes - second place 3,000m, 13:04; first place 1,500m, 5:25. Youth Jayson Bentley - third place 800m, 2:58; third place in the running long jump, 9'11". Lars Schatte - third place 400m, 1:11. Drake Osterhage - first place 100m, 13.05; first place 200m, 29.5; second place in the running long jump, 14'. Nicole Mathis - third place, 400m, 1:17; third place in the running long jump, 8'4.5". Brittany Woodard - second place, 100m, 13.46.
